Apparently Icelanders never slip on the ice, so we get made fun of when we wear our “spikes” or “isbrodder”. They say only old people need them! And it isn’t easy to hide the fact that you wear them, since you sound like a horse clapping down the street.

These allow you to prance around on the ice!

These allow for prancing around on ice! This part fits around the toe of the shoe and they stretch over the heel in the back.

I think they are practical, but apparently that is thinking like an old person. But it is about time that we make them cool!
