Today is bursting day. As the last day to eat meat before the fast, Icelanders eat lamb stew until they are ready to explode. Salted lamb or mutton, saltkjöt, can be bought in most stores the days preceding Bursting Day, easily recognizable by its distinct pink color.

Johanna and Dinyar bought salted lamb. They tried to eat it BBQ style but it was just too salty. So they will have to make a soup like this instead!
