What is the name of your baby?

3 06 2013

Well, this can be a difficult question. You should ask if it is a boy or a girl. When a baby leaves the hospital, it does not have a  name, just a number!  Only after baptism does the baby get its first name.

Sitting is generally mastered between 4 and 7 months, so this little guy may have a name… or not!

Icelandic law states that child must be given a name within six months of its birth. The baby may acquire a name through baptism in the National Church of Iceland (or a registered religious denomination), or through notification of the giving of a name made to the National Registry.
