Smile and Say “Ostur”!

11 08 2013

Two camera cars from Google arrived with ferry Norræna on July 17. The cars will remain in Iceland for two months and will photograph from all angles for Google Earth and Google Street View. The cars have 360° cameras on their tops and when asked, the drivers said they looked upon it as an award to be assigned Iceland. They’re both excited about seeing Icelandic nature and also about being able to photograph a whole country in one trip. So for the next 8 weeks always look your very best, be proper and SMILE!

The cars will drive all the main roads of Iceland and the capital - also along main streets in villages and towns. Today it was driving the streets of Ísafjörður and my friend Albertína caught a photo of them!
